Dr Muhammad Ali Khan, MD, FACP is a board-certified Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease Specialist with over 25+ years of experience. He graduated from Dow Institute of Healthcare Science in Karachi, Pakistan. After he moved to the US, he completed his residency in Family Practice and Internal Medicine at the Hennepin Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He then finished his fellowship at the University of Minnesota in 1999, specializing in infectious disease. He is board-certified in both internal medicine and infectious disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also holds a position as a fellow of the American College of Physicians, a mark of distinction representing the pinnacle of integrity, professionalism, and scholarship for those who aspire to pursue careers in internal medicine. After finishing his fellowship training in infectious disease, he became associated with one of the prestigious infectious disease groups in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota. He provided infectious disease consultation services to multiple hospitals in Saint Paul, Minnesota for over 10 years and continues to provide infectious disease consultation services in Texas after moving there in 2010.

Dr. Khan has medical privileges at multiple hospitals including Baylor Centennial Hospital in Frisco, Presbyterian Hospital Plano, and Carrolton Regional Medical Center. He is the medical director for Infection Control and Antibiotic Stewardship at Carrolton Regional Medical Center. Dr. Khan also takes care of patients in post-acute hospital setup and specializes in acute and chronic infectious diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. He has a special interest in treating patients with sepsis and osteomyelitis. He has also been taking care of patients with COVID-19 and is involved in infection control teams in various hospitals.
